Oops...

So sometimes I forget to do this thing. Oh well.

For those of you who care, we finished our shady bohemian experience at Knox College and are now safely in NY. It's hot and wet. Iew.

We went to the Price Family lakehouse this weekend in Lake Bomoseen, VT. It's about all that you can imagine a place called "Bomoseen" could be. Rustic is the word of choice. I would say dilapidated at best. We slept in "the dugout", a boat garage converted into a cabin with musty horrible beds up in the attic and a dirty, unused kitchen downstairs. Everything reeks of dust, mildew and general filth. Apparently in the Price family there is this issue they have with change. Grandma "Mema" Price (and all her children from what I understand) refuse to change or update anything on these houses because they are exactly in the same condition in which they were found. Momma Price was telling us how over 20 years ago when she married Papa Price and first came to the cabin there were windows and doors broken that have remained broken to this day and you are forbidden to fix them. I don't understand. Apparently Grandma even gets angry if you clean stuff too well there. It is ghetto as all get out. My vote: NO GOOD! The lake was nice, the one day we had sun, which was yesterday. :/

And so now I'm here, in the Price house with nothing to do. I'm jobless because Banana Republic here is being a total pain in the patella and says they can't hire me because blah-blah-blah not until June 18th something-something-blah. Anyways, needless to say I have no job there. I put in an application at American Eagle and I have the group interview tomorrow...hopefully that goes well. And then there is the option of wait staffing or something like that. If this interview doesn't go well tomorrow I'm gonna start looking at restaurants.

My parents just want me to come home. My Dad told me, again, today to do it. He offered to pay for gas and hotels and everything cuz I have a sure fire job at Banana back home. Which is all well and good, but I don't want to go home. So they always make me feel guilty as hell. At least they deposited my reimbursement for my housing deposit so I got $200 off my credit card bill.

So yes. That's my life. I kinda miss the road trip...well the first half anyways. I miss being able to just hang around with Ben and Mikell and not have to worry. Even though it would be nice to have more money, that requires work and I hate work. Oh well. I'm resolved to be here this summer and not give in to my parents control over me. I hope this all goes well.

That's all for now. Over and out.
